Labgrãos/UFPel has a modern and multidisciplinary infrastructure aimed at developing teaching, research, extension and innovation activities in the areas of post-harvest, storage, drying, industrialization and grain quality.
The laboratory has a wide structure of analytical and technological equipment designed to evaluate the physical, physical-chemical and technological quality of grains and derivatives, meeting scientific projects, industrial demands and technical training actions.
Among the available spaces, room 713 stands out, intended for carrying out physical-chemical and technological analyses, equipped for carrying out laboratory tests applied to quality control, characterization of raw materials and research development.
Labgrãos also has a specific room for sample preparation, equipped with a structure for shelling, grain grinding, defect classification and preliminary processing of samples used in laboratory analyzes and experiments.
Complementing the infrastructure, the laboratory has environments designed to store samples and materials under controlled temperature and humidity conditions, allowing studies related to the conservation, stability and storage of agricultural products to be carried out. The space also includes an area for storage and development of prototypes linked to technological innovation and applied research projects.
In addition to the physical structure, Labgrãos maintains an integrated platform for managing and reserving laboratory equipment, promoting organization, traceability and optimized access to resources available to researchers, students and institutional partners.
