Academics from the Agronomy, Food Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering, Nutrition and related fields may apply for a volunteer internship to Labgrãos staff. When applying for the vacancy, the student must present the graduation history and copy of the identity document, justifying to the teacher the reason for the interest in performing a voluntary internship at Labgrãos. Student approval will depend on vacancy availability.

Once approved, the student of Scientific Initiation will undergo safety training in laboratories, which will provide the basics for their safety in the routine activities of Labgrãos. Training is mandatory and there is evaluation at the end, and the student must achieve a grade of 7.0 or above to pass. Only then does the student receive authorization to work in the laboratory, assisting teachers and postgraduates in various teaching, research and extension activities.

Those interested in joining Labgrãos as Master's or Doctoral students should be aware of the selection process of the Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology of the Department of Agroindustrial Science and Technology of the “Eliseu Maciel” School of Agronomy of the Federal University of Pelotas.
